Keiser Highlights
Turning Point
With the Seahawks leading 2-1 after two and a half innings of play, USCB loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the third when Kayla Boyle laced a bases-clearing triple to right field, giving the Sand Sharks a 4-2 lead.
How it Happened
- The six-seeded Seahawks tallied the first run of the game in the opening frame as Janelle Dominguez lined a two-out RBI single to right field, driving in Miller, who reached on a two-out double to left center.
- However, the fourth-seeded Sand Sharks knotted the game in the bottom of the first on Kayla Boyle's two-out RBI single to right field.
- Two innings later, Blumberg pushed Keiser back in front on a one-out RBI double to left center, scoring Miller, who led off the inning with a single to left center.
- USCB quickly responded in the bottom half with three runs as Kayla Boyle unloaded the bases with on two-out three-run triple, swinging the Sand Sharks ahead, 4-2.
- The Sand Sharks then tacked on two more runs an inning later on a pair of RBI singles, stretching their advantage to 6-2 before adding a run in the fifth on a KU error and another run in the sixth on Kaitlyn O'Hearn's RBI single to center, lifting USCB to the 8-2 win.
