Keiser Highlights
- Five different Seahawks picked up a hit in the contest.
- Paige Boyle struck out one while allowing just one earned run in the loss.
Turning Point
Hannah Bodenhorn's performance in the circle for Southeastern was the difference maker, holding the Seahawks to just five hits while striking out a pair.
How it Happened
- Southeastern jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second on Britt Robinson's two-out RBI single up the middle, scoring Kiah Ferrell.
- The Seahawks threatened in the third as Kelsey Brodbeck, Troiana Test, and Avery Miller all connected out two-singles to load the bases. However, Bodenhorn got Janelle Dominguez to fly out to second, ending the threat.
- A huge defensive miscue by the Seahawks third baseman allowed two more Fire runners to cross the plate, widening the margin to 3-0.
- SEU added a run in the fifth on a two-out RBI double to center and tacked on an additional two runs in the sixth on Keiser's second error of the contest to hand KU their first loss of the tournament, 6-0.
