Turning Point
Point used six singles in the opening inning to put up a three-spot against the Seahawks. The Skyhawks wouldn't allow Keiser any closer than one before eliminating KU by a final score of 6-2.
How it Happened
- Point began the game with three straight singles as they jumped out to a 1-0 advantage. Following a 6-4-3 double play, the Skyhawks connected on two more singles to move their margin to 3-0.
- Keiser got a run on the board in the third as Marco Rivera drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on a one-out double to the left-center gap by Tivon Faneyte. Lopez then plated Rivera with a sacrifice fly to center.
- The Seahawks had a scoring opportunity in the next inning with a pair of runners in scoring position but a fly out to left led to a double play, ending the threat.
- In the fifth, KU had their first two runners reach base but three straight fly out's to the left fielder put an end to the inning.
- A leadoff blast in the sixth by Crocitto pulled the Seahawks to within one but the Skyhawks answered with three runs in the next inning, highlighted by a two-run single to center, making it 6-2.
- KU attempted to rally in the ninth as they loaded the bases with nobody out but were unable to push across a run, falling by a final score of 6-2 and were eliminated from the regional.
