Turning Point
After the Gyrenes climbed within 4-3 at the 12:40 mark in the first half, an unassisted goal by Sullivan sparked a 3-0 spurt to give the Seahawks a 7-3 advantage with 7:05 showing.
How it Happened
- Ave Maria notched the opening goal of the game before Christner and Huber netted goals to give the Seahawks a 2-1 lead at the 24:44 mark.
- After the Gyrenes evened the contest, Christner and Tabetha Fike found the back of the net to reclaim a 4-2 advantage with 17:24 showing.
- The Gyrenes closed to within one with 12:40 remaining when a Jordan Sullivan goal started and ended a 4-1 run to give the Seahawks an 8-4 lead at the intermission.Â
- It took 16 minutes for the first goal to occur in the second half as Sullivan scored off a great feed by Towner.
- AMU got as close as four, 10-6 at the 12:17 mark but Keiser tallied the final four goals of the game to come away with the 14-6 win on senior day.
