Turning Point

Â
How it Happened
- Sherman cranked the first pitch he saw in the first for a two-out, three-run blast to right center for a 3-0 advantage.
- The Seahawks tacked on a fourth run in the fourth as Casanueva lifted a sacrifice fly to center, plating Peter Crocitto, who reached on a leadoff error.
- Ariel Burgos Garcia held Lynn hitless until Fontana led off the fourth with a bunt down the first base but the junior settled back in by retiring the next three batters.
- In the fifth, Pena laced a one-out double to the right-center gap and moved to third on a wild pitch. However, Sherman flew out to deep center field for the final out of the frame.
- The Fighting Knights then loaded the bases in the bottom half with three consecutive singles before a 6-4-3 double play allowed the first runner to cross, making it 4-1.
- Keiser nearly got the run back in the sixth but Crocitto was thrown out at home trying to score from second on an errant throw by the shortstop, attempting to turn a 4-6-3 double play.
- Lynn used clutch two-out hitting over the next two frames by plating a pair of runs in each for their first lead of the game, 5-4, in the seventh.
- After being held scoreless since the fourth, the Seahawks rallied in the ninth with four runs on two hits and two Knights errors to reclaim the lead.
- Casanueva drew a leadoff walk and proceeded to steal second and third with one out. Anfernee Torruela then tied the game with an RBI fielder's choice to second.
- Fitzpatrick moved the go-ahead run to third with a single to right before Pena plated both runners with a first pitch swinging double to the right-center gap for a 7-5 advantage. An error on the third basemen allowed the final run of the inning to come across, upping the margin to 8-5.
- Alfonso came out of the pen and retired the side in order for his third save of the year, lifting Keiser to their fourth straight win.
