Game One
Keiser Highlights
  • The Seahawks recorded eight hits in the contest, with Avery Miller leading with a game-high three.
  • Autumn Green started inside the circle for Keiser, allowing a pair of runs in her three innings of work in the no-decision.
  • Rylee Agnew pitched the final three innings and allowed just one unearned run in the loss.

Turning Point
After the Seahawks tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth, the Bobcats loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning and took advantage of a defensive miscue by the Seahawks to take a 3-2 lead.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks jumped on the scoreboard in the opening frame when Miller delivered a one-out RBI single, driving in Troiana Test, who reached on a walk.
  • However, the Bobcats pushed across a run in the bottom half and again in the third inning to claim a 2-1 lead.
  • Larrissa Ostrander then tied the ballgame in the top of the sixth with her one-out RBI double to left, scoring Janelle Dominguez, who reached on a leadoff single to center.
  • In the bottom half of the inning, STU loaded the bases with nobody out when a throwing error by the KU catcher on a pickoff attempt at second allowed Alliyah Sands to come in a score from third, pushing the Bobcats back in front, and winning game one, 3-2.

Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • Eight different KU batters combined for a dozen hits in game two, with three Seahawks registering multi-hit games
  • Kelsey Brodbeck tallied a game-high three hits, while Cheyenne Blumberg and Ally Thompson picked up two hits apiece.
  • Paige Boyle pitched all six innings in the loss, and struck out three batters.

Turning Point
STU's five-run first inning set the tone early on, as the Bobcats took game two 7-4.

How it Happened
  • The Bobcats tallied five runs on four hits in the bottom of the first before the Seahawks pushed across three runs in the top of the second to climb within 5-3.
  • Blumberg and Ostrander opened the inning with back-to-back singles, and both runners came in to score on Thompson's two-run single to right field.
  • KU then tallied their final run of the inning as Kelsie Thurman scored from second on an error by the STU third baseman, after reaching on a bunt base hit.
  • The score held until the bottom of the fifth when the Bobcats added a run on Jamie Gonzalez' RBI single to left field, extending their lead to 6-3.
  • The Seahawks got a run back in the top of the sixth as Thompson delivered a two-out RBI single to center, driving in Test, who reached on a leadoff single to the pitcher.
  • However, St. Thomas tacked on a run in the bottom of the sixth to come away with the game two victory, 7-4.
