Keiser Highlights
  • Hayley Mazreku led the Seahawks with two goals on two shots.
  • KU scooped up 13 ground balls, with Kyli Towner and Mary Reich leading the way for the Seahawks with three apiece.
  • Keiser won 14 draw controls in the contest while Jordan Sullivan led with seven.
  • Reich got the starting nod in net, and made a game-high eight saves in the loss.

Turning Point
SCAD notched the first five goals of the game in the opening 4:37 to take the early 5-0 advantage. The Seahawks were unable to overcome the early deficit to the Bees.

How it Happened
  • SCAD scored their first goal of the contest just 32 seconds into the game as Shannon Flaherty netted her first of six goals to give the Bees the 1-0 lead.
  • After allowing SCAD to tally four more goals, the Seahawks got on the scoreboard as Madalyn Huber converted on a free position at the 23:15 mark to trail 5-1.
  • The Bees then tacked on eight unanswered goals before Mackenzie Gokey found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to climb to make it 13-2 with 2:26 remaining in the first half.
  • SCAD then added the final goal of the half to lead 14-2 at the halftime break.
  • Mazreku notched the first goal of the second half just 50 seconds into the period but SCAD answered with a 10-0 run to balloon their lead to 24-3 with 10:44 to play.
  • The Seahawks then scored the final three goals of the game as Tabetha Fike, Mazreku, and Kyli Towner tallied unassisted goals, falling, 24-6.
