With the Seahawks trailing 1-0 after two and a half innings, Keiser tallied three runs on four hits in the third and never looked back, taking game one 8-1.
How it Happened
- Ave Maria notched the opening run of the game in the top of the third before the Seahawks scored three runs in the bottom half to take a 3-1 lead.
- Ally Thompson led off the inning with a single up the middle and moved up to second on a sacrifice bunt by Kelsie Thurman. Thompson then scored as Bermari Figueroa delivered a one-out single up the middle, tying the game at 1-1.
- The Seahawks then loaded the bases on back-to-back singles from Dominguez and Kelsey Brodbeck, before Avery Miller's sacrifice fly drove in Figueroa to push KU ahead 2-1.
- With the speedy Brodbeck on first drawing the attention of the Gyrenes defense, Dominguez swiped home, extending the advantage to 3-1.
- Two innings later, the Seahawks pushed the margin to 4-1 as Dominguez' delivered a one-out double to left center, scoring Thompson, who reached on a leadoff single.
- Keiser then pulled away in the sixth adding by adding four-runs highlighted by a two-out, two-run RBI single down the left field line by Miller, taking the opener, 8-1.

- An inning later, Keiser tacked on three more runs, all without a hit, claiming a 4-1 advantage.
- Keiser's offense then exploded in the fourth by putting up six runs on five hits, highlighted by a two-run RBI double from Miller, to come away with the mercy-rule shortened win, 10-1.
