KU HIGHLIGHTS
  • The No. 4 Seahawks dropped their regular-season finale to No. 7 SCAD, 11-9, at home.
  • Keiser will await their NAIA National Tournament fate on April 29th during the selection show.
  • Justin Flint recorded his first hat-trick of the season this afternoon to lead all Seahawks in scoring. Nolan Duncan and Blain Wallace finished with two goals apiece.
  • Christian Esquilin went 11-for-20 in the faceoff circle and picked up a game-best eight ground balls.
  • Anthony Bressi tied his season-best for saves with ten on the afternoon.
 
TURNING POINT
The fourth quarter proved costly for the Seahawks as they led 8-6 before being outscored 5-1 and falling in the finale, 11-9.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SCAD netted the opening goal before Flint scored back-to-back unassisted goals to give Keiser their first lead, 2-1 with 10:17 remaining.
  • Hunter East raised the margin to two with another unassisted goal but the Bees notched the final tally of the quarter with 7:08 remaining to get within 3-2.
  • Blain Wallace and Flint notched the first two goals of the second quarter before SCAD found the back of the net with 7:55 remaining, trailing 5-3.
  • Each team would add a goal down the stretch with KU remaining in front by two, 6-4, at the halftime break.
  • The Bees ran off the first two goals of the new half to make it a one-goal game but Wallace recorded a man-up goal off a feed by Dylan Sharpe to lead 8-6, going into the final quarter.
  • SCAD wasted no time in the final quarter by scoring three goals in the first two minutes to reclaim a 9-8 advantage.
  • Nolan Duncan knotted the game at the 6:26 mark off an assist by East but SCAD would find the net two more times to come away with the 11-9 victory.
