Turning Point
The turning point tonight occurred after the Seahawks tied the game at 66-66 with 5:32 showing on a Pratapas floater in the paint and Saint Francis went on a 10-2 run to take a 76-68 lead with 1:44 to play in regulation.
 
How it Happened
  • The Seahawks scored on their first three possessions and held a 10-4 advantage when the Cougars went on a 7-0 run to gain their first lead of the game, 13-10, with 13:18 to play.
  • Keiser tied the game on three occasions before Pratapas connected on a three while being fouled to regain a 23-19 advantage at the 7:53 mark.
  • Saint Francis answered back with a 12-2 run to go back in front, 31-25, but a mini 6-2 spurt by KU pulled them to within two at the 3:09 mark.
  • The Cougars pushed their advantage to the largest of the half, 40-31, but the Seahawks tallied the final five points of the half to get within 40-36.
  • KU used a 9-4 burst out of the locker-room capped by a Marko Radulovic three-pointer to jump ahead, 45-44 with 17:34 to go.
  • The next ten minutes saw a one-possession game until the Cougars ran off seven straight points to lead 66-59.
  • Goss then tallied five of the next seven KU points to equalize the game at 66-66 at the 5:32 mark but Saint Francis used a 10-2 run to gain a 76-68 advantage with 1:44 to play.
  • A Sarenac bucket from the beyond the arc cut the deficit to six but KU wouldn't get any closer, falling 83-73.
