Keiser Highlights
  • Rylee Agnew improved to 3-0 in the circle for Keiser, tossing all seven innings while allowing just one run to score.
  • The freshman also paced the offense for the Seahawks with her 3 for 3 game at the plate with an RBI.
  • Kelsey Brodbeck added a pair of hits in the game while also driving in a run.

Turning Point
Agnew proved to be the difference maker for Keiser, controlling the game on both sides of the ball. The freshman struck out four Lions in her complete-game win and came through at the plate in all three at-bats.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks struck first in their half of the second inning on Agnew's two-out RBI single to left, plating pinch-runner Alanie Cora.
  • Two innings later, Keiser used back-to-back one-out singles from Ally Thompson and Agnew followed by a Bermari Figueroa walk to load the bases for Brodbeck.
  • The senior drove in Thompson with an RBI single to left, upping the KU lead to 2-0.
  • FHU cut their deficit to 2-1 in the sixth when pinch-hitter MattiAnne Sparks came through for the Lions with a two-out RBI single to short.
  • In their half of the seventh, Cheyenne Blumberg pushed across an insurance run with a one-out sacrifice fly to center, scoring Avery Miller.
  • Agnew then retired the Lions in order in the bottom of the seventh to complete the 3-1 win.
