Turning Point
With the scored tied 1-1 in the eighth, Kelsey Connolly won it for Thomas with a walk-off infield single to third.
How it Happened
- The contest began as a scoreless pitcher's duel until the sixth inning when the Seahawks pushed across the game's opening run.
- With one out in the top of the sixth inning, Brodbeck and Avery Miller reached on back-to-back singles. Both runners then advanced on a double steal when a throwing error by the Thomas shortstop on the play allowed Brodbeck to score, giving Keiser the 1-0 lead.
- The Night Hawks then knotted the game in the bottom half on a two-out RBI single down the leftfield line, eventually sending the game to extra innings.
- The Night Hawks opened the eighth with Victoria Camina on second base due to tiebreaker rules, and then loaded the bases with a single and a walk, with nobody out. Connolly then provided the walk-off single to give TU the 2-1 victory in the opener.

Turning Point
The long ball was the difference maker for the Night Hawks, as a three-run homer in the third and a grand slam in the fourth put things out of reach for the Seahawks.
How it Happened
- After both teams were held scoreless in the first two innings, the Night Hawks struck for four runs in the third to take a 4-0 lead.
- Thomas then widened their lead an inning later, as Connolly's grand slam capped off a five-run inning, stretching TU's margin out 9-0.
- The Seahawks got a run back in the fifth when Troiana Test reached on a fielding error by the TU shortstop, allowing Kelsie Thurman to come in and score, after reaching on a leadoff single to the pitcher.
- However, Thomas got out of the fifth inning as Rebecca Boesen retired the next two KU batters to lock up the two-game sweep.
