- The Seahawks threatened in the opening frame as Brodbeck led off with a single to left and then swiped second. After the next two Keiser batters were retired, Brodbeck stole third but Cheyenne Blumberg struck out to end the frame.
- The Fire then pushed the lone runs of the game across in the bottom half on a two-run double to left by Pietrzak, winning, 2-0.

- The Seahawks looked to equalize the contest in the fifth as Brodbeck laced a one-out triple into the right-center gap. However, the senior was stranded as Ashley Appell retired the next two batters on a groundout and fly out.
- Southeastern added an insurance run in the sixth as Pietzrak connected on a leadoff home run to left.
