Match Summary
The red-hot, No. 3 Women's Tennis team continued their winning ways on Wednesday afternoon, taking down Embry-Riddle, 7-2 in Daytona Beach. With the win, Keiser ties the program record for most wins in a season, which was set last year with 15.

Doubles
  • Julianna Heino and Aleksandra Grela opened the afternoon by blanking their opponents on court two to put the Seahawks out in front, 1-0.
  • Teaming up for the first time on the year in dual play, Emma Henriksen and Lorene Foerste triumphed over Lydia Carter and Roberta Krvajica, 8-2, in the third slot.
  • The No. 1 team in the NAIA, Daniela Farfan and Megane Bianco, secured the doubles sweep, posting an 8-4 victory in the top spot.

Singles
  • No. 27 Grela lifted KU's advantage to four as she nearly played a perfect match against Sabrina Ehrenfort, winning 6-0, 6-1 in the fourth position.
  • The Seahawks locked up their 11th consecutive win, as No. 2 Bianco notched a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 2.
  • With the match already in the books, the Eagles claimed the next two points as No. 8 Farfan fell in a three-set tiebreaker to Maria Turrillo 2-6, 6-2, 1-0(8), and No, 17 Heino was upended by Georgina Wood 6-2, 7-5.
  • However, Pinto reclaimed momentum for the Seahawks as she shutout Carter in the sixth slot and Henriksen capped off the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Bock.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "I'm happy with the win today for the ladies. Anytime you come to Embry Riddle to play it is never easy, and for the girls to control the match from the beginning was great to see. Today we had a few holes that we need to work on but overall it was a solid performance from a team that has played five matches in seven days. Now we get a few days to rest before a tough set of matches later this week against Towson and Georgia Gwinnett."

Up Next
The Seahawks are back in action on Tuesday, March 20 in Orlando when they take on NCAA Division I Towson University, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
