Game One
Keiser Highlights
  • Autumn Green was stellar in her Keiser debut, tossing a one-hit shutout while striking out three. Green only allowed a hit to the first batter of the game.
  • Four Seahawks had multiple hits in the opener, with Avery Miller leading the way with her 3-for-3 performance at the plate. The first baseman also drove in a game-best three runs.
  • Seven Seahawks recorded at least one run, with sophomore outfielder Troiana Test crossing the plate three times.
  • Keiser racked up four doubles in the game, including a pair from Miller.
  • Kelsey Brodbeck led the way on the base paths with a pair of stolen bags.

Turning Point
Green's dominant pitching performance set the tone in Saturday's opener. After allowing a leadoff single up the middle, and a one-out walk, the Vero Beach, Fla. native retired the next 15 batters she faced, stifling the Eagles offense all day.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks scored their first run of the 2018 season in the first on a one-out single to center by Larrissa Ostrander.
  • Two batters later, Miller doubled the lead with the first of her two doubles on the afternoon, plating pinch runner, Alikie Kandler.
  • After being held scoreless in the second, the Seahawks broke through with four runs in the third.
  • Brodbeck began the inning with a single to short before swiping second and scoring on a single up the middle by Test, making it 3-0.
  • Following a sacrifice bunt to third by Ostrander, Cheyenne Blumberg plated Test with an RBI double to center to lead 4-0.
  • A wild pitch allowed the fifth Seahawk to cross the plate and the final run of the inning came off an RBI single to left by Ally Thompson.
  • Keiser then broke the game open in the fourth by scoring five runs with two outs.
  • Miller plated the first pair with a double to left center, and Thompson followed with an RBI single to center, making it 9-0.
  • A fielding error on the Eagles raised the margin to 10-0 and Dominguez pushed the final run across with a double to left center, winning in a mercy-rule shortened game, 11-0.

Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • Rylee Agnew picked up her first collegiate victory in the circle, tossing a complete game while striking out five.
  • Five Seahawks delivered multi-hit performances, with Test finishing 4-for-4 at the plate while driving in a game-high three runs and scoring three times.

Turning Point
With the game tied at 3-3 in the second with two-outs, Test delivered with a huge two-run RBI single up the middle to retake a 5-3 advantage.

How it Happened
  • For the second straight game, the Seahawks jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the first.
  • Brodbeck scored the first run of the game as she successfully stole home to make it 1-0.
  • Keiser then doubled the margin when Test came in to score on an RBI groundout to third by Blumberg.
  • The Seahawks surrendered their first run of the year in the second frame as the Eagles scored on a throwing error by the third basemen. TBC then used back-to-back RBI singles to take a 3-2 advantage.
  • However, Keiser responded in their half inning with four runs to go back in front, 6-3.
  • Bermari Figueroa plated the tying the run with a double to left center and then Test drove in a pair of runs to put the Seahawks in front 5-3.
  • The final run of the frame came off the bat of Ostrander, scoring Test from third after she advanced on a wild pitch.
  • The Eagle scored their final run of the game in the third on a two-out double down the right-field line, but KU got the run back in the bottom half as Agnew scored on a wild pitch, keeping it a three-run game.
  • A first and third steal by the Seahawks in the fourth made it 8-4 before KU tacked on three more runs in the fifth on a pair of errors to win 11-4.
