Match Summary
The No. 3 Women's Tennis team won their second consecutive conference sweep Saturday afternoon, blanking No. 23 College of Coastal Georgia 9-0. With the win, the Seahawks move to 6-1 overall, and remain a perfect 4-0 in Sun Conference play.

Doubles
  • The Seahawks jumped on the scoreboard first with an 8-0 win from the nation's top-ranked tandem, Daniela Farfan and Megane Bianco.
  • Aleksandra Grela and Julianna Heino upped the margin to 2-0 out of the second spot, with an 8-1 win over Paige DeLePerriere and Madeline Garner.
  • KU completed the sweep in doubles play as Emma Henriksen and Ana Pinto took down Samantha Lasslet and Sonja Wind 8-3 in the third position.
 
Singles
  • No. 2 Bianco pulled the Seahawks within one of clinching the match as she cruised past Samantha Sepe in straight sets.in the No. 2 slot.
  • Keiser officially clinched the victory on the afternoon as No. 8 Farfan took down Jasmine Carswell 6-0, 6-2 in the top spot.
  • The Seahawks widened their advantage to 7-0 with back-to-back 6-0, 6-0 sweeps out of the third and sixth positions.
  • No. 17 Heino extended the KU lead to 8-0 with her 6-2, 6-2 victory out of the No. 4 slot.
  • Keiser completed the 9-0 sweep as Henriksen defeated Wind 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5.
 
Coach's Corner
Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "The ladies did a great job of taking care of their business today. I was happy with their mindset and precision-like execution. From beginning to end we controlled the momentum, and they never really let up. The focus was high the whole way and it showed in the score. I'm certainly happy to win like this and get a few days rest before we play Ave Maria.
