The opening ten minutes of the second half saw a tied game at the intermission turn into a 17 point lead for Olivet Nazarene as the Tigers outscored the Seahawks 25-8.
How it Happened
- The Seahawks trailed during the opening four minutes until Marko Orlic converted on a layup off a great feed from Matic to lead, 9-8.
- The teams swapped three lead changes over the next three minutes before Keiser tallied six straight points to take an 18-13 advantage with 13:14 to play in the opening half.
- Olivet Nazarene responded with five unanswered points to tie game but Gedeon broke away with a monstrous to dunk, putting KU back in front by two at the 9:43 mark.
- The Tigers then used a 10-0 run to claim their largest lead of the opening half, 28-20, with 6:08 to play.
- However, KU tallied ten of the games next 12 points to equalize the score at 30-30 with just 3:06 to go in the opening period. In the stretch, Matic tallied four points.
- Each team scored just one bucket down the stretch as the game remained even at the intermission break.
