Xavier of Louisiana produced a basket to make it a three point game down the stretch, and Keiser was whistled for an offensive foul on the ensuing possession as the Seahawks looked to potentially tie it up.

How it Happened
  • Three lead changes and one tie occurred in the opening seven minutes of play, as the two teams stayed within one possession of each other and Keiser built its largest lead of the half, 10-7.
  • Xavier produced a 15-0 run to end the half, as the Gold Rush seized a 22-10 lead into the half time break.
  • A 10-3 Keiser run opened the second half to bring the Seahawks to within two possessions, trailing 25-20 after a Fisher layup with 13:02 still to play.
  • XULA countered with a 10-4 run go back in front by double digits, 35-24 with 6:23 to play.
  • Fisher canned a jumper to start an 11-2 run, capped by a Marko Radulovic triple that brought the Seahawks to within a single possession for the first time since the eight minute mark of the opening half, 37-35 with 2:13 to play.
  • Seconds later XULA connected on a three-pointer to push the advantage back to two possessions until Radulovic made two free throws and a crucial layup from Ryan Kroll, his only basket of the game, to get within a single point, 40-39, with 31 ticks on the clock.
  • XULA produced a score however on its next possession, and a Keiser offensive foul on its ensuing possession hurt the Seahawks down the stretch, falling 44-41.
