Keiser Highlights

  • Andrija Matic had 16 points and six rebounds, while Marko Orlic chipped in with ten points and nine rebounds.

Turning Point
Keiser had possession in the final seconds trailing 60-59 and drew a foul out of a called timeout. The Seahawks however were not in the bonus and had to inbound the ball again with CCG in their full court press. After getting the ball in, the Mariners jumped the second pass, forcing KU to foul and extend the game.

How it Happened
  • Coastal Georgia scored nine of the game's first 12 points, and went on to build its largest lead of the game, 23-11, with 10:45 on the clock.
  • Bryce Thurston then drained a three pointer to ignite a 7-0 run, cutting the deficit to the lowest of the half, 23-18, with 7:47 remaining.
  • The teams then traded buckets down the stretch with the Mariners holding a 32-24 advantage at the half.
  • A three-pointer from Radulovic off his own steal and a layup from Bryce Andrews brought the Seahawks to within three, forcing CCG to a call a timeout after just two minutes came off the clock.
  • However, Coastal Georgia regrouped with seven straight points to take their largest lead of the second half, 38-29, making it Keiser's turn call a timeout with 15:35 left in regulation.
  • Radulovic then tallied six of the Seahawks next nine points as KU trimmed the margin to 40-38 with 12:35 on the clock.
  • The Mariners quickly responded with an 8-2 spurt to lead by eight but a Thurston jumper in the paint started a 12-0 run, giving Keiser their first lead of the night, 52-48 with a little under six minutes to play.
  • Coastal Georgia scored on their next two trips down the court to even the game but Matic drained back-to-back buckets to reclaim a 56-52 advantage with 2:55 left in the game.
  • The Mariners came right back with eight unanswered points to lead by four before Matic canned his only three-pointer of the game to trail by one with 50 ticks remaining.
  • With five seconds remaining and KU still trailing by one, Radulovic got into the paint and was fouled. However, KU was not yet in the bonus and had to take the ball out on the baseline.
  • After successfully inbounding the ball, Jaylen Smallwood jumped a passing lane to get a steal, forcing the Seahawks to foul if they wanted any chance to get another possession.
  • Smallwood stepped up to the line and converted both free throws to lead by three. Keiser threw up a half court shot but the buzzer had already sounded.

Inside the Box Score
