The ninth-ranked Keiser women's soccer team was back to their shutting out ways by blanking Thomas University 4-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks were led by freshman, Matilda Ovenberger's fifth hat-trick of the season.

Stat of the Match
The Seahawks defense recorded their seventh shutout of the season and fifth during Sun Conference play as Nina Haeberlin made three saves in goal.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks scored the lone goal of the opening half in the 40th minute as Ovenberger powered her shot to the far post off a great pass from Maren Hellan.
  • A header by Ovenberger to the far post in the 58th minute extended the Seahawks advantage to 2-0.
  • The hat-trick was completed in the 62nd minute as the freshman volleyed the ball into the back of the net off a feed from Caroline Schroeder.
  • Alice Blixt capped the scoring in the 80th minute with a laser shot to the near post off a pass from Linnea Axengren.

  • Keiser leads the all-time series against Thomas 8-0-1.
  • Ovenberger has scored in five consecutive games, her longest streak this season. She has found the back of the net in five of the six TSC games.
  • Ovenberger also broke into the 20 goal plateau, boasting 22 on the season.
  • The Seahawks outshot the Nighthawks 32-5 and 20-3 with shots on goal.
  • Ovenberger boasted a team-best ten shots with nine going on target.
