The Keiser University men's soccer team battled Warner to a 4-4 draw on Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach, Florida. The draw was the second of the season for the Seahawks and the first in Sun Conference play.

Stat of the Match
The contest was fairly even on the offensive side as Warner held a narrow 22-18 edge on shots and 13-10 shots on goal advantage.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks were the beneficiaries of an own goal in the fourth minute as they claimed a 1-0 advantage.
  • Warner knotted the game in the 36th minute as Matheus Santiago beat the outstretched arms of Joan Carles Perez.
  • Keiser reclaimed the lead with just 16 seconds remaining in the half as Gontzal Balaguer netted his fourth goal of the season off a pair of assists from Ciro Damine and Isaias Lobos.
  • The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Damine made it 3-1 in the 48th minute as he outran the Royals back line and slotted the ball home from just inside the box.
  • However, Daniel Rodriguez scored back-to-back in goals in a one minute span to tie the game at three apiece with 30 minutes remaining in regulation.
  • In the 68th minute, Amine Meski played a great ball into the box and Damine was there to score his second goal of the game, putting KU back ahead 4-3.
  • Warner grabbed the late equalizer in the 88th minute as Jans Tamayo powered a deflected shot into the back of the net, forcing the game into overtime.
  • Keiser outshot the visitors 5-3 in the first overtime period but was unable to score.
  • The second overtime came and went with neither team firing off a shot as the game ended in a 4-4 draw.
 
Game Notes
  • The all-time series remains deadlocked at 8-8-3.
  • Keiser moves to 1-0-2 in overtime games this season.
  • Damine moved into the second spot for the most points in a season with 44 (20 goals/4 assists). The record is 56 (22 goals/ 12 assists) by Joonas Sikala in 2008.
  • Damine is now the lone player with the second most goals in a season with 20, two short of tying the record held by Joonas Sikala in 2008.
  • Damine was tied for a game-best seven shots while Espino was close behind with four shots.
  • Perez made a game-best nine saves on the afternoon.
