  • Donivan Dyson paced the offense with a game-high 20 points, while Midori Long picked up a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Nikki Saunders came off the bench with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting and pulled down five rebounds.

Turning Point
The Seahawks trailed 58-57 with 15 ticks remaining in regulation when Saunders came up with a big defensive rebound off a missed free throw. Keiser then broke the full court press with Samantha Fernandez finding Dyson in the paint with 2.7 seconds left, and her layup put Keiser back in front.

How it Happened
  • Thomas held an early 7-2 advantage before a Starbria Hudson jumper sparked a mini 5-2 run to get within 9-7 at the 5:33 mark.
  • The Seahawks closed the gap to one, when Thomas answered with five straight points to push their lead out to 17-11 with 1:12 remaining.
  • Baskets by Long and Hudson cut the margin to 17-15, but the Night Hawks converted on a layup just before the buzzer to lead 19-15.
  • Long tallied the first six points of the quarter for the Seahawks but continued to trail Thomas 24-21 at the 3:43 mark.
  • The Night Hawks pushed their advantage to as many as eight before the Seahawks closed the half on a 9-4 run to trail 33-30 at the intermission.
  • Ash opened the new half with a jumper to get within one, when TU answered with a 15-2 run, extending the margin to 48-34 with 4:49 showing.
  • However, Keiser ended the quarter with an 8-0 run to climb within six, 48-42, heading into the final quarter.
  • KU kept chipping away at Thomas until Ash hit a huge three-pointer off an assist by Dyson at the 2:43 mark to take a 55-54 lead.
  • Following a Dyson jumper to extend the advantage to 57-54, Kriza Allen connected on a three to tie the game at 57-57 with 55 seconds to go.
  • Thomas regained the lead, 58-57, following a free throw but Dyson came up with the game-winning shot in the paint with 2.4 seconds remaining.
  • The Night Hawks called a timeout to advance the ball, and Allen's shot with one second left came up short.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Pam Oswald said, "Tonight it was good to see several people power throw adversity at times. We continued to bounce back and not let phases get to us, which are signs of growing and maturing, all of which you want to see as a coach. At the end of the game, I thought it was huge to see Kelsie hit the three-pointer and the team grab the rebound with 14 seconds left. It was great to see the players make the final play on their own without having to take a timeout. It is great that Midori has continued to have big games and really starting to come into her own on the court."
