Turning Point
The turning point in today's game came in the 65th minute when Ana Gonzalez scored the tying goal that sent the contest into overtime. Gonzalez's goal was assisted by Nicole Rodriguez, evening the game at 1-1.

How It Happened
  • The Seahawks needed just 46 seconds to score the game's opening goal when Ebba Gustafsson volleyed in a cross from Filippa Millqvist and Heslam.
  • Georgia Gwinnett nearly scored the equalizer a minute later, but Nicole Rodriguez's header off a corner went off the cross bar.
  • In the 34th minute, Elsa Netz made a huge diving save to her left after the Seahawks defense had a giveaway in the back to keep the score 1-0.
  • Again, Netz had to make a diving save in the 38th minute to preserve the lead, keeping the score line the same at the half.
  • Keiser had a pair of scoring opportunities in the 51st minute as Kiera Heslam's corner was just punched over the bar. Tova Nilsson then ripped a shot from the top of the box that was curling into the upper right corner but the keeper just got her fingertips on it.
  • The Grizzles broke through in the 65th minute when Gonzalez scored on a breakaway after GGC won the ball back on a KU goal kick.
  • However, neither team would find the back of the net over the next 25 minutes as the game went into overtime, tied at one-apiece.
  • In the two overtime periods, the Seahawks outshot the Grizzles 5-3 but were unable to come up with the game-winning goal.
