Highlights
The Seahawks picked up their second win on the day with a 3-0 sweep over Kansas Wesleyan in the nightcap of the Labor Day Volleyfest. Keiser recorded 44 kills on a season-high .326 attack percentage while holding the Coyotes to just a .086 attack percentage. Rasheena Mansel led the Keiser attack with a season-best nine kills on a .500 attack percentage and Faryn Salazar dished out a career-best 21 assists.
 
Set One
Kansas Wesleyan controlled the first half of the set by taking a 12-10 lead, but the Seahawks were able to respond with a 4-0 run started on a Mansel kill to grab a 14-12 lead. After Kansas Wesleyan cut the Keiser lead to 21-19, the Seahawks went on a 4-0 run to close out the set, 25-19, capped off with kills by Amanda Medlock and Abbie Seward.
 
Set Two
After falling behind 4-1 in the early going, Keiser pulled ahead with a 10-2 run to lead 11-6. Six of the 10 points came on kills, including three from Lindsey Keegan. After cutting the Keiser lead to one, the Seahawks put together a 5-0 run that included back-to-back service aces by Medlock, stretching the lead to18-12. KU led by as many as eight at 23-15 on three consecutive kills and a service ace before closing out the set with a 25-18 win.
 
Set Three
The Seahawks jumped out to an early 6-1 advantage, behind a pair of Eshe Malone kills. After the Coyotes battled back to tie the set at 17, Keiser answered with five straight points to regain a 22-17 advantage, as Seward had a kill and a service ace during the run. Keiser went on to complete the sweep by taking the third set, 25-19.
 
Coach's Corner
Head Coach Chris Taylor said, "Great win for us tonight. The team came out and really played a complete game. We were able to take care of the ball and get our offense going from all angles. When we can pass like that, we are very tough to beat."
