KU HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Seahawks inaugural season comes to an end in the National Championship with their 10-5 setback to Reinhardt University.
  • Reinhardt was the lone team to defeat Keiser this year, downing them in the regular season and final game.
  • Grieco scored three of the goals for the Seahawks while Duncan and Jacob Bomberry had the others.
  • Marentette had two assists for the Seahawks.
  • Jake Padden made ten saves in goal for Keiser.

TURNING POINT
The turning point was the stout defense of Reinhardt in the third quarter as they held Keiser scoreless and extended their lead to 7-3.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Reinhardt scored the lone goal of the first quarter in the sixth minute by Jeff Mathis.
  • The Seahawks tied it just two minutes into the second quarter on a Bomberry goal off an assist by Craig Marentette.
  • Eddie Grieco gave Keiser their first lead on an unassisted goal just two minutes later.
  • However, the Eagles scored two straight to reclaim a 3-2 advantage, but Grieco notched his second goal of the game, tying it at 3-3 with 5:47 showing.
  • Again Reinhardt scored two unanswered goals to take a 5-3 advantage into the halftime break.
  • Neither team registered a goal in the second half until the Eagles broke through in the eighth minute, raising the margin to 6-3.
  • The Eagles upped their lead to 7-3 with 1:58 remaining in the third and the score remained the same heading into the fourth quarter.
  • Reinhardt netted the first three goals of the fourth before Grieco scored off an assist by Nolan Duncan to get within 10-4 with 2:27 left in regulation.
  • Duncan notched the final goal of the game with 1:25 to go but the Seahawks fell by a final of 10-5.
