Turning Point

How it Happened
  • Jack Curtis recorded the first hit for either side in the bottom of the second with a leadoff single to right center.
  • The Seahawks were unable to bring Curtis in to score as the next three batters were sat down swinging.
  • Matt Evans notched Bellevue's first hit in the top of the fourth and later scored from third on a wild pitch by Keivan Berges, placing the Bruins ahead 1-0.
  • Keiser had the chance to score in the bottom half of the inning until Miguel Casanueva was thrown out at home on a fielder's choice with one out in the inning.
  • The Bruins added one run in the top of the fifth inning when Joe Moran scored from third following an RBI ground out by Brandon Salmon.
  • The Seahawks cut the lead in half in the bottom of the sixth inning when Faneyete roped a single down the right field line, bringing Berges home from second.
  • Keiser let another opportunity go by the wayside in the bottom of the seventh when Tom Prospero doubled with one out and was later thrown out at home to end the inning following Gabby Mundo's single to left field.
  • The Bruins broke the game wide open in the top of the ninth inning, scoring four runs on five hits with one Keiser error to take the 6-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth.
  • The Seahawks were unable to cut into the deficit as Bellevue walked away with the five-run victory.
