The No. 5 Keiser Women's Tennis fell to No. 3 SCAD-Savannah by the final score of 6-3. The Seahawks fall to 4-1 in conference play, while the Bees clinch the Sun Conference regular season title.
 
Doubles
  • The Seahawks jumped on the board first when No. 20 Juliana Goncalves and Teodora Stanciu downed No. 11 Valerie Droop and Julia Albuquerque in the No. 3 doubles slot, 8-2.
  • The Keiser lead was doubled to 2-0 when No. 9 Megane Bianco and Julianna Heino upset No. 3 Camilla Gbaguidi and Paige Murdock, 8-6.
  • The Bees cut the Keiser lead in half as Eika Webber and Karina Rovira defeated Samantha Guy and Lorene Foerste, 9-8, from the No. 2 doubles slot.
 
Singles
  • Goncalves stretched the Keiser advantage back to two, defeating Rovira in straight sets from the No. 3 singles slot, 6-3, 6-1.
  • Despite being down 3-1, the Bees regained momentum and composure to defeat Keiser in the final five singles matches to claim the 6-3 victory over the Seahawks.
 
Coach's Corner
"Make no mistake about it, the ladies really battled today," stated head coach Daniel Finn. "Honestly we let the moment become too big for us and we did not play our best tennis in the moments when we needed to perform. The ladies will use this as a learning experience and we will get better from it. Still really like the progress the girls are making. They are going to be a dangerous team by seasons end."
