The No. 3 ranked Keiser Seahawks cruised to their seventh win of the season, downing Davenport by the final score of 9-0. Today's match was played in Orlando, Fla., at the USTA Tennis Center.
 
Doubles
  • Keiser swept through the doubles play to take the early 3-0 lead, beginning with Julian Turosienski and Romai Ugarte's 8-2 victory over Matthew McClurg and Matthew Boyle from the No. 2 slot.
  • Bastien Sorg and Arthur Bonnaud extended the Keiser lead to 2-0 with an 8-6 triumph over JP van Antwerpen and Sam Rogerson.
  • The Seahawks slammed the door shut in doubles play as Clement Raymond and Francesco Oliva earned a convincing 8-4 victory from the No. 1 doubles position over Michael Digby and Haja Denise.
 
Singles
  • Shaquille Taylor stretched the Keiser lead to 4-0 after his 6-0, 6-4 win in the No. 6 singles slot over Denise, pulling the Seahawks to within one of the victory.
  • The match was clinched from the No. 4 singles position as No. 8 Bonnaud cruised to the 6-1, 6-0 win over Boyle, remaining undefeated in dual matches during his collegiate career.
  • Keiser claimed the final four singles matches, including Sebastian Penaloza downing McClurg (6-4, 6-2) in his return to the court.
 
Coach's Corner
"Always happy to get a 9-0 win," stated head coach Daniel Finn. "The boys honestly didn't play their best tennis at times today but in the end they found a way to win when they needed the points. Make no mistake, that is a very underrated Davenport team. In the end I am happy with the way the guys competed and pushed one another through to the 9-0 win. We are continuing to get better and at the end of the day that is what you want at this point in the year."
 
Up Next
The No. 3 Seahawks will host SCAD-Savannah on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a chance to clinch the Sun Conference regular season title.
