Match Summary
The No. 3 ranked Keiser Seahawks cruised to their fifth conference victory of the season, this time with a 9-0 decision over SCAD-Savannah. Keiser's triumph over the Bees moves the Seahawks just one conference win away from claiming the Sun Conference regular season title.
 
Doubles
  • Keiser swept through the doubles play to take the early 3-0 lead, beginning with Julian Turosienski and Romai Ugarte's 8-3 victory over Daiki Naka and Yulin Liu from the No. 2 slot.
  • Arthur Bonnaud and Nicolas Guerschanik stretched the Seahawks' lead to 2-0 from the No. 3 doubles position, besting Quentin Staley and Josh Tewes-McCoy, 8-3.
  • Doubles play was capped off with an 8-4 victory for the eighth-ranked doubles tandem of Clement Raymond and Francesco Oliva over Sean Hajdu and Kosta Sevic.
 
Singles
  • Turosienski, ranked No. 19 in ITA rankings, extended the Keiser lead to 4-0 from the No. 3 singles slot after besting Liu, 6-1, 6-4.
  • Bastien Sorg sealed the victory for Keiser from the No. 2 singles position after claiming the 6-3, 6-2 victory over Naka.
  • The Seahawks won the final four singles matches to cruise to the 9-0 victory, including wins from No. 28 Sebastian Penaloza and No. 8 Bonnaud.
 
Coach's Corner
"All things considered the men played well today," commented head coach Daniel Finn. "The conditions today where very tough and they did a good job of controlling themselves and not worrying about the conditions. All in all the boys put out a strong performance today."
 
Up Next
The No. 3 Seahawks will return to action on Tuesday when Keiser hosts Cardinal Stritch at noon at Oxbridge Academy.
