Box Score Keiser University claims the No. 10 ranking in the first regular-season edition of the NAIA Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Top 10 poll, the national office announced Tuesday. The Seahawks in their inaugural season, earned their first ever appearance in the coaches' poll.

Missouri Valley tops the poll with five first-place votes and 66 points. Lourdes is second with one first-place vote and 62 points, and Missouri Baptist is third with 57 points. Keiser in the tenth spot, earned 31 points.

The Seahawks opened their season with a 29-10 victory over Point University at home and followed that up with a 22-1 road win at Montreat College. This afternoon, Keiser cruised to a 17-8 home win versus SUNY-Delhi.

Craig Marentette paces the offense with 15 goals, eight assists, and 23 points which are all tops for the Seahawks.
Chad Strauss leads the way with 23 groundballs while going 36-64 in the faceoff circle. On defense,
Justin Stone and
Jordan Rivard have caused ten turnovers, and
Jake Padden has made 26 saves in goal.

Jacob Bomberry and Flint are tops in the country with six goals per game.

Keiser is tops in the NAIA in total assists (29), assists per game (14.50), and goals per game (25.50). The Seahawks are second in the country in total points (80), shots on goal per game (37.50), and total goals (51). Lastly, they are third in total shots on goal with 75.

"We're honored and humbled to be ranked in the top ten in our first season," said head coach
Patrick Johnston. "Our student-athletes have been working hard in the classroom and on the field, and it's rewarding to see some of that hard work recognized on a national level. It's only the first poll, and we have a lot more work ahead of use before the last poll."

The Seahawks will look to move to 4-0 on Monday morning when they take on St. Andrews at 9:00 a.m.
