Turning Point
The 22-10 Florida Memorial run proved to be the difference maker in tonight's contest as the Lions used the spurt to claim the two-point victory. Keiser held the 64-54 advantage with 7:37 remaining in the game and could not close the door on the Lions, falling 76-74.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks came out of the locker room on fire, jumping out to a 12-2 advantage led by back-to-back triples by Andrija Sarenac.
  • Keiser kept the Lions at arm's length as Brice Jenkins made a floater with 15:41 to play in the opening half to maintain the 10-point lead.
  • Florida Memorial clawed back into the game, scoring six unanswered points to trim the Keiser lead to just 14-10 with 12:22 left in the half.
  • The Seahawks then outscored the Lions 8-5 over the next 3:42 to stretch their lead back to seven after a Stefan Zecevic layup.
  • Once again the Lions proved resilient as the host squad slowly cut the Keiser lead to just one following a Charlie Nedd-Araujo three pointer with 5:29 left in the half.
  • Tyrus Weaver answered with a triple of his own to extend the Seahawks' lead to 29-25 on the very next Keiser possession.
  • Florida Memorial scored five unanswered points to claim its first lead of the game at 30-29 with 3:23 to play in the first half.
  • The two squads battled back-and-forth over the final 3:23 of the opening frame, trading leads four times to set up the dramatic ending to the half.
  • With Keiser trailing by three nearing the end of the half, Weaver drained a triple from the corner with five seconds left in the half to deadlock the contest at 37 apiece heading into the locker room.
  • The Lions scored the first four points of the second half to take the 41-37 advantage.
  • Senior guard Stanley Whittaker was a man on a mission, scoring the first eight Keiser points of the second half, including two three pointers to give the Seahawks the 45-43 edge with 16:08 left in the half.
  • After Davon Williams tied the game at 45-45, Keiser scored six unanswered points to take the 51-45 advantage, including four points by Zecevic.
  • The Lions trimmed the Keiser lead to just one point following a three pointer by Nedd-Araujo that made it 53-52 Seahawks with 10:41 left in the game.
  • Keiser outscored the host squad 11-2 over the next 3:04 that included back-to-back threes by Sarenac.
  • The Lions would not go away, racing out on a 10-2 run over the next 2:50 to cut the Keiser lead to just 66-64 with 4:47 left in regulation.
  • The final 4:47 proved to be a battle yet again as the Lions slowly chipped away at the Keiser lead, eventually taking the lead themselves with 1:36 left to play, 71-70.
  • The Lions extended their lead to 73-70 with 37 seconds left following a pair of free throws by Kody Williams.
  • Whittaker cut the Florida Memorial lead to just one after going through the contact to lay in a highly-contested floater with 15.9 seconds on the clock.
  • The Seahawks were forced to foul and chose wisely as Aaron Bryant missed the front end of the double bonus and then capitalized on the second to make it a two-point game.
  • Whittaker then tied the game up at 74-74 with a floater in the paint with two seconds left to play to set up the dramatic finish.
  • On the ensuing inbounds play, Kody Williams was granted a pair of free throws after a 50-50 ball was whistled as a foul on Weaver.
  • Williams stepped up to make both free throws to give the Lions the lead and then had the blocked shot on Weaver at the buzzer to punch Florida Memorial's ticket into the conference championship against Warner.
