Turning Point
Keiser's six-run eighth inning proved to be the difference maker in game one. The Seahawks entered the inning ahead 6-5 and put up a six-spot to take the 12-5 advantage. Keiser needed the insurance runs as Ave Maria scored five in the top of the ninth to cut the Seahawks advantage to just two.

How it Happened
- The Gyrenes took the early lead for the second consecutive game, this time in the first inning when Rico Soto belted a two-run shot with one out.
- The Seahawks bounced back in the bottom of the third when Tyler Goff drilled a two-run shot of his own with no outs to even the contest at two apiece.
- Keiser had a chance to add to its lead with runners on the corners and two outs, but Tivon Faneyte harmlessly flew out to center field to end the threat.
- The Gyrenes reclaimed the lead in the top of the fourth as Ryan Keegan cranked a one-out solo shot to left field for the 3-2 advantage.
- The Seahawks rallied to retake the lead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring three runs on two hits and two Ave Maria errors.
- The tying run came off the bat of Shane Olive as the redshirt sophomore singled to left center, bringing home Brad Myott from second.
- Goff then gave the Seahawks the 4-3 lead, lifting a sacrifice fly to left field to bring Jack Curtis home from third.
- The final Keiser run of the inning came with two outs when Dylan Dore reached on a throwing error, bringing home Reyni Olivero who was in to pinch run for Olive.
- Ave Maria cut the Keiser lead in half when Andy Hernandez singled through the left side of the infield, bringing in Soto for the Gyrenes' fourth run of the contest.
- The Gyrenes then tied the contest at five apiece in the top half of the seventh as Justin Hartshorne roped a two-out single up the middle to bring home Matt Wiles.
- Keiser quickly reestablished the lead in the bottom half of the seventh inning when Zach Saldivar scored from third on a wild pitch, giving the Seahawks the 6-5 lead.
- The two squads scored 11 combined runs in the bottom half of the eighth and top half of the ninth inning as both teams' bats came to life.
- Keiser scored six runs in the bottom half of the eighth inning on five hits to break the game wide open.
- The first run came off the bat of CJ Fitzpatrick who reached on a fielder's choice with a bunt RBI to bring Prospero home from third.

- The final Seahawk run of the game came off the bat of Dore who singled through the left side of the infield to bring in Casanueva for the 12-5 lead.
- The game looked to be over until Ave Maria loaded the bases with nobody out in the top of the ninth inning.
- After Hartshorne drew the bases-loaded walk, Cook uncorked a grand slam to empty the bases and cut the Seahawks' lead to just 12-10 with still nobody out.
- Morrison then came in for the save and recorded three outs in four batters faced, preserving the two-run victory for the Seahawks.
