TURNING POINT
The turning point occurred when the Fire got to within 34-32 with 1:56 left in the first half of play. A McClenton basket in the paint started a 7-2 spurt to the close out the half with Keiser in front 29-22.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Andrija Sarenac and Whittaker connected on a pair of threes to start the game but Southeastern held a slim a 7-6 advantage.
- Whittaker hit a jumper to put the Seahawks back in front 8-7 and continued to lead 12-9, when the Fire responded with a 5-0 spurt to regain a 14-12 advantage at the 13:38 mark.
- After trading baskets, Whittaker laid the ball in to begin a 7-0 run capped by a McClenton put back to lead 21-16 with 10:29 left.
- The Fire got to within 25-22 but four straight points by
Tyrus Weaver extended the advantage to the largest of the half, 29-22.
- Southeastern got as close as 34-32, when the Seahawks ended the half on a 7-2 run to lead 41-34 at the break.
- Both teams struggled in the first ten minutes of the second half as the Fire held a narrow 12-11 advantage but continued to trail 52-46. Sarenac then connected from beyond the arc to start a 9-2 run pushing the margin to 61-48 with 6:08 to go in regulation.
- After a made basket by the home team,
Brice Jenkins split at the line to begin an 8-1 spurt to take their largest lead of the game at 70-53 with 2:21 left.
- The Fire outscored the Seahawks 7-1 down the stretch but came up short, 71-60, allowing the Seahawks to claim the fourth spot in the Sun Conference standings.
