Seahawks Add Three Assistant Football Coaches

Keiser Football Head Coach Doug Socha has announced the hiring of three assistant coaches to the Keiser football family. Socha welcomes Cody Edwards, Myles Russ and David Pasquale to the Seahawk family.

Edwards will be the Defensive Assistant with a specific position to be named at a later date. Edwards joins the staff after most recently serving as the Defensive Coordinator at The John Cooper School in Texas. While at The John Cooper School, Edwards helped improve the turnovers by 200% from the season before as well as leading the team to the first SPC 3A conference victory and first road victory in school history. Edwards coached two players to All-SPC honors and one player named as a finalist for the Houston Touchdown Club "Ironman" Award. Edwards coaching stint also dates back to when he was a Defensive Coordinator and Quarterback/Running Backs coach at Royal Palm Beach High School for two years.

Edwards also has collegiate coaching experience as he spent time coaching as the Safeties/Assistant Secondary at John Carroll University for one year and was also a football intern at the University of Tennessee. While at John Carroll, Edwards was in charge of a wide recruiting area that featured seven different states, he held individual and group position meetings to manage opponent breakdown. Edwards also coached three All-OAC players and a second team All-American selection.
Edwards received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The University of Virginia College at Wise in 2010. Edwards currently resides in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Russ will be the Running Backs coach as well as the Recruiting Coordinator at Keiser. Russ spent most of his coaching career at Robert Morris University where he was the Running Backs coach and the lead recruiter for the southeast region. Russ spent time with the Buffalo Bills where he worked directly with the Running Backs coach and offensive staff on the development of players throughout training camp.

Russ received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Robert Morris in 2011 where he was also the starting running back. Russ accumulated 4,271 career rushing yards which still stands as a Robert Morris career record. Russ carried the ball 818 times in his career, losing just one fumble in the process. Russ also punched in 22 touchdowns for his career and averaged 100 yards rushing per game during his career. Russ completed his Master of Science in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris in 2014 and now currently resides in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Pasquale comes to Keiser after most recently coaching and teaching at Ida S. Baker High School in Lee County, Fla. Pasquale will serve as the Wide Receivers and Special Teams Coordinator for Seahawks' football. While at Ida S. Baker, Pasquale coached the wide receivers, offensive line and the special teams. Pasquale also coached basketball and softball at Ida S. Baker, all while being an educator in the high school system.

Pasquale played NCAA Division I football at the University of Toledo where he saw action at quarterback, running back and wide receiver during his collegiate career. While at Toledo, Pasquale was named to the President's List of Honors for academic achievement and excellence during his Master's program. Pasquale graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 2012 before completing his Master of Education in Education Technology in 2013.

Pasquale currently resides in West Palm Beach, Fla.
