Set One
Keiser came out of the gate strong jumping out to a 5-1 advantage behind a pair of kills by
Amanda Medlock. The Seahawks stretched their lead to as many as ten, 17-7 before Johnson & Wales used a 7-2 run to get within 19-14. The Wildcats got as close as 21-17 but Keiser closed the set on a 4-1 spurt, winning 25-18.
Set Two
For the second straight, the Seahawks set the tone from the beginning as they took a 7-2 lead. The Wildcats closed the gap to 10-9 but Keiser tallied six unanswered, stretching the margin to 16-9. JWU made a late rally trimming the deficit to 22-18, but KU slammed the door shut, scoring the final three points, winning 25-18.
Set Three
The third set remained tight throughout with neither team taking a larger lead than four, before the Seahawks prevailed, 25-21. Both teams battled back and forth through the first 22 points as neither team led by more than two and featured eight ties and four lead changes. After it was tied at eleven-apiece, the Seahawks grabbed the lead for good and wouldn't relinquish it down the stretch.
