Keiser's 11-0 run in the second quarter proved to be the difference maker in today's contest. With 8:00 remaining in the first half, the Seahawks were trailing the Nighthawks by the score of 17-12. The Keiser offense came alive by scoring the game's next 11 points over the next 4:40. Kaylee Patton registered nine of the team's 11 points during the run.
 
How it Happened
  • Both squads started out slow on the offensive end as the contest was all square at 4-4 with 3:10 remaining in the first quarter.
  • The Nighthawks outscored the Seahawks, 9-6, over the final 3:10 of the quarter to take a 13-10 advantage heading into the second.
  • Thomas built on its lead, extending the advantage to 17-12 with 8:00 remaining in the first half.
  • The Patton-led offense came alive, scoring the next 11 points to turn a five-point deficit into a six-point lead with 3:20 remaining in the first half.
  • Keiser held on to the lead to conclude the half, taking the 27-23 advantage heading into the locker room.
  • The Seahawks extended their lead to 13 points in the third quarter but the Nighthawks closed the gap to six as the squads headed into the final quarter of play.
  • With Keiser leading 50-41 with 5:16 left to play, Thomas went on a 9-1 run to close the gap to just one point with 3:37 remaining in the game.
  • The very next possession, Reque stepped up to hit a dagger three that sparked a 10-2 run to stretch the lead back to nine with 1:18 left on the clock.
  • The Seahawks maintained the momentum, finishing off the Nighthawks on the road by the final count of 65-58.
