Turning Point
The turning point in tonight's game came in the second quarter when the Bobcats outscored the Seahawks 25-8 to take an 11-point lead heading into the locker room. The run began with a 13-2 spurt from St. Thomas, forcing a Keiser timeout. The Bobcats then capped off the quarter on a 12-6 to claim the lead for good.
 
How it Happened
  • Neither team was able to pull away in the first five minutes of the contest as the two squads were deadlocked at eight apiece with 5:21 remaining in the first quarter following a Kaylee Patton three.
  • Following a Desanta Jordan three pointer, Keiser raced out on a 10-0 run to take a commanding 18-11 advantage, fueled by four points from Midori Long.
  • The Bobcats pulled to within three before Caity Riley nailed her second three of the quarter to give the Seahawks the 21-15 lead heading into the second quarter.
  • St. Thomas chipped away at the Keiser lead, eventually tying the contest at 23-23 with 5:41 remaining in the first half.
  • The Bobcats did not stop there as they scored the next five points to cap off a 13-2 run to open the second quarter, taking a 28-23 lead over the Seahawks and forcing a Keiser timeout.
  • St. Thomas came out of the timeout and ended the quarter on a 12-6 run, concluding a 25-8 second-quarter victory for the Bobcats.
  • The third quarter played out like a see-saw match with Keiser closing the gap to as close as eight and St. Thomas extending the lead to as much as 14.
  • The Bobcats scored the final three points of the third quarter to take a 52-38 advantage heading into the final quarter of play.
  • The Seahawks could not trim the gap to single digits in the final quarter as the Bobcats claimed the 67-53 victory.
