The Keiser University men's soccer team overcame a slow start to defeat Southeastern University 3-2 in a Sun Conference matchup. The Seahawks improved to 3-0 in conference play and will look to stay unbeaten on Saturday when Ave Maria comes to town.

Turning Point
Keiser scored the game winner in the 70th minute when Reece Weldon beat the keeper to the near post off a cross from Ben Frogner to win the game 3-2.

How it Happened
  • Southeastern broke through in the 17th minute when Gerritson Craane beat Lee Clark to the far post to take a 1-0 advantage.
  • The Seahawks equalized three minutes later on Alex Babiolakis fourth goal of the season off an assist by Weldon and Sam Kitchen.
  • Keiser took a 2-1 advantage in the 27th minute when Weldon played a 35 yard free kick into the box that deflected off a Fire player and into the back of the net.
  • The Fire drew even in the 58th minute when Jake Van Der Luit intercepted a Seahawks pass and drilled it over Clark's head.
  • Weldon then put the Seahawks ahead for the last time in the 70th minute off a cross from Frogner.
  • With seven minutes left in regulation, Amine Meski blew past the defense but his shot went off the cross bar and a Frogner follow up was saved by the keeper.
  • The Seahawks had a chance to seal the game in the 87th minute but the Fire defense cleared a pair of balls off the goal line.
