How it Happened
Set One:
Webber cruised to a 25-17 victory in the first set as the Warriors jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Keiser trimmed the deficit to 4-3 before Webber rattled off seven unanswered points to take an 11-3 advantage. The Warriors maintained a nine-point advantage for much of the set before closing off the Seahawks following a kill by Katie Schueman.
Â
Set Two:
The two squads traded the first four points of the second set before the Warriors jumped out to another commanding lead, 8-3. The Seahawks would not go away quietly, pulling to within two points after kills by
Nikki McKown and
Veera Hietala. However, the Warriors held the Seahawks in check as Keiser could not pull closer than the two-point deficit. Webber cruised down the stretch to the six-point second set victory.
Â
Set Three:
Webber jumped out to another comfortable lead in the third set and did not look back. Keiser once again closed the gap to as much as two points but the Warriors were resilient in holding the visiting Seahawks in check, cruising to the 25-12 final set victory.
