Reece Weldon assisted on three goals as the men shutout Trinity Baptist 4-0 in their season opener. The Seahawks are now 1-0-0 and return to action on Tuesday against Florida National.
Turning Point
The Seahawks broke through in the 40th minute when Weldon played a great corner from the left side that found the foot of
Alex Babiolakis for a 1-0 advantage. This was the first career goal for the forward from Athens, Greece.
How it Happened
- Keiser doubled their lead just five minutes into the new half when Ben Frogner scored off a rebounded shot by Weldon making it 2-0.
- Simon Said upped the lead to 3-0 in the 65th minute off a second assist by Weldon after his shot went off the post and deflected over to him
- The Seahawks sealed the contest in the 82nd minute when freshmen Jake Stanton headed in a perfect cross from Thomas Dawson winning 4-0.
