Keiser University went on the road for the first time this season and suffered a 2-1 setback to West Virginia Tech. The Seahawks moved to 1-1-0 and look to rebound on Monday afternoon at Cumberland University.
 
Turning Point
After a scoreless first half, the Golden Bears scored two goals in a ten minute span to put the Seahawks in a 2-0 deficit with 20 minutes remaining in the contest.
 
How it Happened
  • West Virginia Tech found the back of the net in the 61st minute off a header and doubled their lead in the 71st off a through ball making it 2-0.
  • Reece Weldon picked up his first collegiate goal in the 87th minute on a 20 yard free kick making it 2-1.
 
Game Notes
  • Weldon led the Seahawks in shots for the second straight game with five and three of those being on frame.
  • Lee Clark made four saves in goal after not conceding a goal in his past three games dating back to exhibition contests.
