Charlie Stubbs of the Keiser University men's golf team was the Sun Conference Champion of Character recipient at this evening's banquet.

Stubbs is a senior and four year member of the Seahawks golf team and has a GPA well over a 3.0. His hard work and dedication to golf and his team has shown in his golf results as well. Charlie has rededicated himself to golf this past year and is one of the top ranked players in the conference and won the fall major at Doral. Last year at the Sun Conference Championship at Crandon Park, he was hospitalized for heat exhaustion/dehydration. He tried to play through it as the Johnson & Wales trainer walked down the fairway with him and he could barely stand up or hold any fluids.  He recovered after his hospital visit with a new zest for golf, school, and life. He is a true champion of character and is very deserving of this award.
