#6 Men's Tennis Shutout St. Thomas 9-0

The #6 Seahawks men's tennis team shutout Sun Conference opponent St. Thomas 9-0 at home on a hot Friday afternoon. Keiser improved to 14-2 overall and have yet to concede a set in conference play while moving to 4-0 on the year.

Keiser got off to a terrific start by sweeping all three doubles matches to take a commanding 3-0 advantage. Nicolas Guerschanik and Shaquille Taylor blanked their opponents 8-0 and shortly after Guilherme Cunha and Martin Martins won at #2 8-4. Rafael Lenz and Arthur Bonnaud capped off the sweep with an 8-3 victory in the third spot.

Lenz extended the lead to 4-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 at #3 and Guerschanik clinched the match with his 6-3, 6-3 victory in the top spot. Martins won second singles 6-3, 6-3 and Bonnaud stayed perfect on the year rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 win for a 7-0 advantage.

Taylor in the fifth singles spot won a tight first set 6-4 before running away with the second 6-0. Ignacio Osse ended the day with a 6-3, 7-5 win in the sixth spot, sealing the 9-0 win for the Seahawks.

Head Coach Daniel Finn said, "Today was definitely a hot and windy day in West Palm Beach. I'm proud of the boys with the way they handled the elements and took care of business.  It's nice to see the team continue to grow and develop."

Keiser has a quick turnaround welcoming #21 Warner to Oxbridge Academy tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 in a huge Sun Conference matchup.
