The #7 ranked men's tennis team routed Midland University in convincing fashion on Monday afternoon winning by a score of 9–0 for their seventh consecutive win.
On the afternoon not one doubles team or singles player dropped more than one game per set. When doubles got going Nicholas
Guerschanik and
Shaquille Taylor got the Seahawks on the board quickly winning convincingly 8–0 at #3 doubles. Matching that was #2 doubles of
Arthur Bonnaud and
Rafael Lenz winning 8–0 as well. #1 doubles of
Martin Martins and
Luis Sanchez came away with an 8–1 victory, securing the sweep of doubles and gave Keiser the 3–0 lead going into singles.
Martins the #38 ranked player in the country blanked his opponent 6–0, 6–0 pushing the lead to 4-0. Taylor then won #5 singles 6–1, 6–0 to secure the clinching fifth point for the Seahawks.
Ignacio Osse routed his opponent with a 6–0, 6–0 win, and
Guerschanik rolled through his opponent at #1 winning 6–1, 6–0. Nico dropped only the first game of the match before running away with the rest of the 12 games.
Bonnaud, the reigning Sun Conference Player of the Week came away with a 6–0, 6–0 win as well, and Lenz ended the day at #3 winning 6-1, 6-1, sealing the 9-0 sweep of Midland University.
