#15 Baseball Rolls Past Bethel 16-4

The #15 Seahawks baseball team rolled past Bethel 16-4 on Tuesday evening at Dodger Town in Vero Beach. Keiser improved to 12-5 overall on the year with the victory.
 
  • Keiser got on the board in the third on a Gabby Mundo sacrifice fly to center scoring Miguel Casanueva who led off the inning with a double to left.  However, Bethel tied it up in the bottom half of the inning.
  • The Pilots took a 3-1 lead in the fifth but the Seahawks answered with five runs in the sixth.
  • A Brad Myott double to left field and a fielding error allowed Keivan Berges and Mundo to score knotting the game at 3-3. An RBI triple to left center by Tyler Goff put Keiser ahead 4-3 and a Carlos Lopez two run homer down the left field line extended the margin to 6-3.
  • The Seahawks then tacked on six more runs in the seventh stretching the advantage to 12-3. Dylan Dore got the scoring going with an RBI double to right center making it 8-3 and RBI singles by Berges, Lopez, Jack Curtis, and Daniel Arroyo made it 12-3.
  • Bethel plated one last run in the seventh before Keiser pushed four more runs across in the ninth. An Arroyo sacrifice fly to center upped the lead to 13-4 and back to back RBI walks by Kevin Ellenbogen and Myott made it 15-4. A Bethel error capped the scoring for the game with the Seahawks winning 16-4.
  • Keiser outhit Bethel 18-6 with Mundo having a game high four hits. Lopez and Casanueva had two hits apiece.
  • Andrew Danner went 4.1 innings in his first ever start, striking out four. Miguel Pena picked up the win going 1.2 innings in relief.
