The Keiser University women's basketball season came to an end with a 59-48 Sun Conference Quarterfinal loss to Thomas on Tuesday evening. The Seahawks conclude their first season under head coach 
Pam Oswald with a 14-16 overall and 7-9 conference record.
How it Happened - Thomas controlled the first quarter taking a 14-8 lead and stretched it to 24-10 with 4:43 remaining in the second. A pair of Jamilla Banks Wall free throws started a 7-0 run which turned into a 12-3 spurt to end quarter getting to within 27-22 at the break.
- The Night Hawks connected on the first basket of the new half, when a Desirai Smith jumper in the paint began an 8-0 run to gain a 30-29 advantage with 4:28 showing in the third. 
- Thomas quickly went back in front and upped their lead to 39-34 but five straight points by Dominique Winbush knotted the game at 39-39 going into the fourth.
- Keiser was unable to keep up in the fourth quarter getting outscored 20-9 and falling 59-48.
Inside the Box3: Smith and Winbush both had three steals apiece.
