The Seahawks women's basketball team fell to Florida Memorial 55-43 on Wednesday evening in Sun Conference play. Keiser University moves to 13-13 overall and 6-7 in TSC play.
How it Happened - Both teams went seven minutes without a basket before back to back jumpers by Dominique Winbush and Alasjia Dykes put Keiser ahead 4-0. The Seahawks held the Lions to just one field goal in the quarter and led 5-3 heading into the second.
- Florida Memorial went on to take a 19-17 advantage into the half after trailing by as much as 13-8 with 5:43 showing in the second.
- The Lions led 23-19, when a pair of free throws by Desirai Smith and a jumper by Winbush tied it at 23-23 with 7:22 left in the third. However, Florida Memorial went on to outscore Keiser 16-5 taking a 39-28 advantage into the fourth.
- The Seahawks started on an 8-0 run climbing to within 39-35 with 8:38 left. Keiser would not get any closer as Florida Memorial prevailed 55-43.
