No. 23 Men's Basketball Extends Winning Streak to Seven Games

KU HIGHLIGHTS
- Nine of the ten Seahawk players found themselves in the scoring column this evening.
-Stanley Whittaker led the way with a team high 18 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field.
- The Seahawks held the No. 5 team in the NAIA for offensive rebounds to just eight.

TURNING POINT
The turning point tonight occurred after the game was tied for a second time at 20-20 with 10:22 remaining in the first half. The Seahawks did not allow a field goal during the remainder of the half while outscoring PNW 18-1 to lead 38-21 at the break.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A Deion McClenton layup and Brice Jenkins three pointer gave Keiser a quick 5-0 lead.
- The Pride climbed to within 9-7 but Andrija Sarenac answered with a three pointer pushing the advantage to 12-7 with 15:56 showing. However, Purdue Northwest responded with an 8-0 spurt to gain their first lead of 15-12 at the 13:14 mark.
- Keiser quickly went back in front at 18-15 behind a 6-0 run which featured three points by Jenkins.
-With the game tied at 20-20, the Seahawks broke the game open with an 18-1 run to close out the half on top 38-21. The Seahawks did now allow a field goal during the final ten minutes of the period.
- The Seahawks started the second half on a 6-2 spurt ballooning the advantage to 44-23. PNW responded with a 9-0 burst cutting the deficit to 44-32 with 15:30 left in regulation. This would be the closest that the Pride would get during the remainder of the contest.
-A Whittaker basket stopped the run and helped Keiser outscore the PNW 20-5 over the next seven and half minutes pushing the lead to 64-40 at the 7:50 mark. During the stretch, the Seahawks used a 12-0 run to help build on the lead.
-Both teams traded baskets down the stretch with Keiser coming away victorious by a final of 75-56.
