The Keiser University men's soccer team tied with Johnson & Wales 2-2 in the regular season finale this afternoon. The Seahawks conclude the regular season with a 7-4-3 overall record and 5-1-3 mark in conference play.
Turning Point
An
Aaron Molloy free kick from the top of the box in the 82nd minute knotted the contest at 2-2. The goal by Molloy was his third of the season.
How it Happened
- Lee Clark made a terrific diving save to his left on a penalty kick in the 10th minute to keep the game scoreless.
- Johnson & Wales broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Bradley Langhorne broke through the defense and blasted shot to far post for a 1-0 lead.
- The Wildcats doubled their lead in the 43rd minute on a Gregory Mcdoom volley off a corner kick making it 2-0. The score remained the same heading into the break.
- Thomas Dawson got the Seahawks on the board in the 73rd minute when he beat the keeper off an assist by senior Jaime Segura.
- A Molloy goal in the 82nd minute tied the game at 2-2 and the score remained the same forcing the game into overtime.
- Neither team would find the back of the net during the overtimes and settled for a 2-2 draw.
