The Keiser University men's soccer team went on the road and knocked off No. 11 Thomas 2-1. The Seahawks return home on Tuesday, when they will honor their seniors prior to the start of their kickoff.
Turning Point
With the score tied 1-1 and six minutes remaining in regulation,
Aaron Molloy played a ball into the box that found the foot of
Connor Doogan who beat the keeper for his first goal of the season.
How it Happened
- After a scoreless first half, the Seahawks found the back of the net just two minutes in on an unassisted goal by Amine Meski. The goal was his fifth of the year.
- Thomas equalized five minutes later after a miscue by the Keiser defense allowed Leo Thompson to net his third goal of the year.
- Both teams held strong until Doogan notched his first game winner of the year lifting Keiser to a 2-1 win.
Game Notes
- Weldon had his conference point streak snapped today at seven straight.
- Molloy has picked up a point in each of the last four contests.
- Weldon is currently one assist away from setting the single season school record.
- Lee Clark made five saves in goal.
